algorithmic nostalgia [fetishized] marks the beginning of a new body of work and emerged from the development of the session dilemma [multipolarized] for the Red Salon at the Bayerischer Hof.

A baroque mirror console is detached from its architectural context and carried by fragments of a server rack. In place of the mirror sits a Wertschöpfungspapier made from handcrafted, devalued euro banknotes. Its print – the emoji of a mirror – only reveals itself as one walks around the sculpture. Console and mirror image shift into a spatial mirror axis, in which original and reflection, visibility and concealment, become inseparably bound to one another.

The work fuses historical forms of representation, digital infrastructure, and economic value production into a sculptural hybrid. The objects appear not as relics of different eras, but as bearers of a shared architecture of power, in which the values and claims to power of a new tech elite do not replace historically grown logics of domination, but instead perpetuate them within the infrastructures of digital power.
