Red Salon, Palais Montgelas, Bayerischer Hof x Various Others, 2025

Developed specifically for the Red Salon at the Bayerischer Hof, the session dilemma [multipolarized] brings together marble fragments, silicone fists, devalued Deutsche Mark banknotes, engraved writing instruments, and low frequencies derived from push notifications within a space used for informal conversations during the Munich Security Conference. The installation confronts the salon's opulent diplomatic aesthetics with gestures of resistance, bodily violence, and fragmented manifestations of contemporary power. The individual works trace how money and memory, message and body each become instruments of the same discreet exercise of power. Rather than treating the site as a backdrop, the intervention activates the political choreography already embedded in its architecture and function. Power is encountered in a space where it is negotiated through discretion, restricted access, and conversations behind closed doors.
